Delphine is a woman of science, an exceptional mother, and a great friend. She is sophisticated, soft, and shines in all circumstances. I created this pattern with her in mind!

The Delphine Headband is a fun and easy initiation to brioche knitting. You will learn to master a few stitches while making a magnificent headband!

This pattern is designed to be knitted with fingering weight yarn, fingering weight yarn coupled a thread of mohair or with sport-sized yarn. The last two options will give you a warm headband for winter while the first option is perfect for cooler spring weather. The pattern includes instructions to get the perfect fit every time!

Sizes
The pattern includes instructions for making two different widths of headband - one for adult size heads and one for smaller head - that fit perfectly every time!

Finished measurements
Headband Width: 9.5 (11.5) cm; 3.5 (4.5) inches.
Headband Length: the circumference of your head!

Yarn
Weight: This pattern is designed to be knitted with fingering weight yarn, fingering weight yarn coupled a thread of mohair or with sport-sized yarn.
Main colour: 150 (180) m; 164 (197) yd.
Contrasting colour: 130 (150) m; 143 (164) yd.
* If you choose to make the fingering version coupled with a thread of mohair, you will need the quantities above for both the fingering thread and for the mohair thread.

The sample is presented in the superb Baby Alpaca wool from La Bobineuse in the colour crème (MC) and rose pâle (CC).

Needles
Circular needles, DPNs or Magic Loop, US #3 (3.25 mm) or the size needed to obtain the gauge.

Gauge
24 stitches x 28 rows = 10 cm (4 inches) in stockinette knit in the round, after blocking.
