When I visited byzantine monuments, I was amazed at the richness of the gold and blue colors covering the walls. They inspired me to create this luxuous stranded sweater. Browsing through my byzantine art books, I found an interesting garment detail on a mosaic in the Saint Demetrios Basilica in Thessaloniki and turned it into the stranded pattern covering this sweater. I gave it a relaxed shape and snuggly sleeves to make it modern and easy to wear
so it will quickly become a favorite in your wardrobe!

This raglan sweater is worked from the bottom up in the round with an all-over stranded pattern worked in two colors. The sleeves are worked separately in the round and joined to the body at underarm. The yoke is worked in the round with raglan decreases and ends with a wide boat neck.

En visitant des monuments byzantins, j’ai été frappée par la richesse des couleurs bleu et or qui en recouvraient les murs. Ca m’a inspiré ce pull au luxueux jacquard. En recherchant dans mes livres d’art byzantin, j’ai trouvé un détail de vêtement intéressant sur la mosaïque de la Basilique Saint Demetrios à Thessalonique et je l’ai transformé pour en faire le motif en jacquard qui recouvre ce pull. Je lui ai donné une forme assez relâchée et des manches confortables pour en faire un pull moderne et facile à porter. Il deviendra vite un favoris dans votre garde-robe !

Ce pull raglan est tricoté de bas en haut en rond. Il est recouvert d’un motif en jacquard tricoté à deux couleurs. Les manches sont tricotées séparément en rond et attachées au corps avant le début du raglan qui est tricoté également en rond. Le pull se termine avec une encolure bateau.
