Demogorgon
Pay What You Choose: In the interest of making my patterns financially accessible to all knitters while still honouring the time and work that went into creating them, I’m including ‘Pay What You Choose’ tiered pricing for my patterns. You may notice an increase in the baseline price; that is because I believe it represents a fair amount of compensation for my time and craft. If you can afford the full price, I am glad; if you cannot, please choose a price you are willing to pay, no questions asked. Tiered pricing works on the honour system and I will never know your financial ability, but I would very much like designing knitting patterns to be sustainable for me. Here is a list of the coupon codes and the discounts they represent:
No Code: $8.00 CAD
Orchestra: 10% off
BoxSeats: 20% off
Mezzanine: 30% off
The cable-swatch on this hat reminds me of the goo that covers portals to the upside-down in the Netflix show ‘Stranger Things’. So of course I had to name it ‘Demogorgon’! It is meant to be knit with small skeins of precious yarn; mine is knit with a gorgeous hand-spun which I got for my birthday, and I’ve knitted another in Lichen & Lace worsted, which knits up more like a DK. The pattern is modified from a Lynne Barr swatch called ‘laser cables’; I reworked it to be knit in the round and decreased. Lynne’s books are my favourite inspirational ‘stitchionaries’!
