Denali
This design is part of the National Park Hats Collection 2! Get the Denali yarn to knit this design here.
I set out this month to create a hat inspired by an Alaskan park, and what better park to start with than Denali?! The tallest mountain in the North America is certainly inspirational in it’s own right, but the park itself is rich with stunning vistas and beautiful wildflowers.
The hat features a textured pattern with a chunky weight yarn, hand-dyed by my husband Nick and I, using simple knit and purl stitches to create patterning that mimics a mountain range. I was inspired by the Alaska Range in where Denali is located and majestically towers over the landscape. I hope you will enjoy knitting this fun and quick hat design!
Approximately 120 yards of a bulky weight yarn is needed for this pattern. For more information, head to www.kristeninstitches.com
