Knitted in seed stitch with simple cables at the yoke, it’s casual, comfortable, and will gently fade over time - just like your favorite pair of jeans. Sizing ranges from toddler to adult.”
Finished Measurements:
27.5 (31, 34.5, 39, 42.5, 47, 51.5)“ chest
Yarn: Debbie Bliss Cotton Denim Aran (100% Peruvian cotton; 72 yards / 50 grams): 9 (11, 14, 19, 22, 25, 28) skeins. Shown in book in 31” in #2 medium blue and in 39” in #3 dark blue.
Needles:
- One set straight needles size US 6 (4 mm).
- One set straight needles size US 7 (4.5 mm).
- Change needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions: cable needle (cn), stitch holders, stitch markers, yarn needle
Cascade 220 is a good yarn substitute. The sweater can be made in a roomy size so the child can wear it over a turtleneck. -Melanie Falick
