This lacy shawl is deceptively easy, working up in just 30 rows of single and double crochet stitches, and requiring just 500m of worsted yarn, making it a great last-minute gift or quickie project. You could also use a lacier yarn and/or larger hook to make a more delicate shawl.

Worked from the top down, it starts as a triangle before widening to form long curved points which mean the shawlette stays put despite its small size. Suitable for adventurous/advanced beginners.

measures approx 70cm neck-to-hem and 130cm tip-to-tip, lightly blocked.
A larger shawl can be made by repeating rows 12-15 (central pattern) and/or rows 21-26 (border pattern).

Pattern includes written line-by-line instructions. Revised edition May 26th 2014 has cleared up some ambiguous instructions and added hand-drawn illustrative charts. Pattern is not fully charted.
