Departure
Departure Shawl
The main body of this shawl is knit sideways in a boomerang shape using a variegated sock yarn. The border is then picked up and knit with a unique but easy to knit construction using a gradient yarn or mini skein set.
The eyelet section can be knit plain or you may add beads to each eyelet for some extra sparkle.
Yarn requirements: 890 yards/180 grams fingering weight yarn.
I used 1 skein of variegated sock yarn by Witch Candy Yarn in the Birch Fire colorway for the main body of the shawl. For the border I used 4 mini skeins of sock yarn by AJHC Wools in the following colorways: 1 mini skein each of Artemis and Loki, 2 mini skeins of Hades.
