This is a warm, snug and cosy poncho that is really easy to make.

It requires some intermediate techniques but full step-by-step instructions are provided in the 14 pages of tutorials that are included in the pattern.

These show you how to do the following:

  • The chainless foundation htr (US: fhdc)
  • The simple main poncho pattern (2 row pattern)
  • The optional roll neck, which has a ribbed effect created using front post stitches

The 12 balls of Stylecraft Batik at the required gauge make a poncho that measures just over 90 cm (35 inches) from the top of the neck to the front or back V.

This pattern was designed for the Stylecraft Blog Tour 2017. See the link to my blog post for 29th October 2017 to see ideas for alternative yarns and colourways.
