Cardigan has short-sleeves with ribbing detail, cropped length with ribbing around the bottom, and an open-ended zipper.

It is traditionally knit in pieces from the bottom-up, then seamed at the shoulders. Stitches are picked up for the neckband only, then cast off. The front borders are picked up separately and the ribbing is knit. The sleeves are then sewn in, and the sleeve/side seams are joined. Finally, the zipper is sewn in to complete the project.

Pattern calls for a 14, 16, or 18” (36, 41, or 46 cm) open-ended zipper.

Note that Noro Kochoran is discontinued. A yarn with similar content (angora, wool, and silk, but in different ratios) is Noro Nadeshiko.
