This is a written pattern with a formula for sizing the hat for the recipient. It started as a fun way to let some of my favorite kids design their own hats for me to make using stranded colorwork, and then it morphed into a bonus hand out for my students when I teach two handed stranded knitting classes.

Naturally, it seems like the perfect thing to share with my Ravelry friends, as I’m sure there are many of you who ALSO have friends that would like to have a hand in the design…so here you go! Enjoy! :)
