Eyes 20mm (plastic safety eyes or glass looped eyes).
26mm safety nose
This yarn is a 4ply/sport/fine 2 weight. You can use any weight yarn for this pattern it will just give a larger finished size.

Size
Using this weight yarn and size hook will give you a dog roughly measuring
70cm/ 16 inches measured from nose to tail tip.
18cm/ 7 inches from side to side .
24cm/ 9.5 inches from feet to the top of the head
Useful items
Scissors
Tapestry Needle used for sewing in ends/attaching ears
Stitch markers
Abbreviations
All the crochet stitches used in this pattern are based on American crochet terms
sc = single crochet
dc = double crochet
hdc= half double
trc = treble crochet
inc= increase
dec= decrease
Sl st= slip stitch
rnd= round
If you are planning to make your dog in a heavier weight yarn, adjust your hook size accordingly. Use the smallest hook size possible for the weight of yarn that you are using. You need the stitches tight so the stuffing doesn’t show too much between stitches. I recommend making a test motif to gauge tension.
