"Dessa": a knit/crochet hat
“Dessa” is a play on my middle name, Odessa. This is my first pattern, and I am honored to offer it for free, to allow people to try my approach to crochet and knitting.
The hat consists of a very simple single crochet design in the round. The hat is slouchy, meaning that the increases will go up until a circumference of at least 11 inches is achieved. Then the hat is decreased, and stitches are picked up with circular knitting needles.
I am not a big fan of crochet ribbing, as I find it too thick. It is a great way to either, 1. Learn to Knit or 2. Get better at knitting for those who primarily crochet, like me.
I used to be intimidated by knitting for a long time, but no more! You don’t have to be either with this pattern
This pattern is a very easy and quick weekend project.
