Like the ever-changing direction of our journey through life, the twists and turns of the path are often a mystery. Destination Unknown celebrates this journey and encourages us to find joy in the unexpected, chase our dreams and greet each new day with excitement for the opportunities to explore and create.
Destination Unknown is a top down, triangular shawl. Its captivating stitches are deceptively simple in construction featuring the hot, hot, hot mosaic knitting technique. The stunning herringbone pattern is achieved using just one color per row and the I-cord edges provide a professional looking finish.
The slow and dramatic color changes of Spincycle’s Dyed in the Wool capture the essence behind my design inspiration perfectly. Be prepared to experience a delightful surprise as you knit each row.
Destination Unknown includes fully written and charted instructions. I would consider Destination Unknown to be suitable for an intermediate to advanced beginner, but will also keep an experienced knitter engaged from start to finish.
For best results, I highly recommend following the video tutorial provided in the pattern for the I-cord tab cast-on.
