Detox Water
What if there was an easy way to flatten your belly without counting calories, sweating at the gym, or trying out that new shapewear trend? There is: Detox water!
I recently fell in love with the world of detox water recipes. With this fun drink in mind, I created an easy and yummy Detox Water Cowl pattern. This Detox Water Cowl is made of citrus wedges, blueberries, raspberries, and a sprinkle of pomegranate seeds.
Start with a solid or semi solid colorway - green, yellow, pink, orange or any yummy color will do well! And then melt the color into a gradient or speckled yarn color.
Materials
Yarn: Approx. 385 yards 352 m of sport weight yarn - 218 yards 200 m in color A; 167 yards 152 m in color B.
Sample shown: color A - Miss Babs Yummy 3-Ply in “Frog Belly”; color B - Miss Babs Yummy 3-Ply in “Mantis”.
Needles: US5 3.75 mm circular needle, about 24” 60 cm long. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions: stitch markers, tapestry needle, blocking tools.
Sizing
Finished Size: 20”/ 50 cm circumference at top opening; 35.5”/ 90 cm circumference at bottom opening; 13.5”/ 34 cm height at center.
Gauge
22 stitches and 34 rows = 4 inches 10 cm in stockinette stitch, after blocking. (The gauge isn’t crucial on this project, but differences will affect the finished size and yardage. Adjust accordingly)
Techniques Needed
k, p, yo, k2tog, ssk, sk2p, m1p, and wrap stitches, that’s it!
Instructions for “wrap stitches” is included in the pattern.
