ABOUT
I met my husband, and Lottie’s father in Detroit. Mutual alumnus of the same Detroit University we spent our first date talking for hours as we walked the city streets on a cold winter night. This hat was equal parts inspired by him and my baby sister, both Detroiters with an urban vibe and an eye for fashion. Designed to be knit in the round with soft, fingering weight yarn this hat is the perfect accessory for the sophisticated male or female urbanite.

Pattern instructions are provided in both written and charted form.

SIZING
Child: 18” (46cm) circumference x 8.5” (22cm) height, Adult S-M: 20” (51cm) circumference x 9.5” (23cm) hat height, Adult L-XL: 22” (56cm) circumference x 9.75” (24cm) hat height, Adult XXL: 24” (61cm) circumference x 10” (25cm) hat height

PROPER FIT
When determining the proper size, choose the size that measures closest to your head circumference. The finished hat will be approximately 2” smaller than size stated for the perfect fit.

Circumference: wrap a tape measure around the widest part of your head to include forehead, right above ears, and back of head keeping the tape snug.

Hat Height: measure from your crown (top of head) to the base of your ear. Note, hat height is not as important is this is a slouchy fitting hat. If you would prefer a closer fitting hat directions are provided within the pattern.

GAUGE
28 sts and 37 rows = 4”x 4” (10 x 10 cm) in stockinette stitch on US size 2 (2.75mm) needles, adjust needles as necessary to obtain gauge.

SUPPLIES
US size 2 (2.75mm) 16” (40cm) circular needle, or size to meet gauge.
US size 2 (2.75mm) double pointed needles, or size to meet gauge.
