Devin is a lace shawl inspired by the German Art Knitting movement of the twentieth century. Originally knit in handspun superfine merino wool from a raw fleece, any lace weight yarn can be used. The original shawl includes approximately 1800 size 8/0 TOHO seed beads that accent the leaves in the body as well as the tulip edging. The pattern and kits are available directly from BitsyKnits and can be found at fiber festivals throughout the Northeast US.
