Devol Dishcloth
A simple, textured crochet dishcloth that you will not get tired of making! The Devol Dishcloth is the perfect project for gifting, market prep and stash busting. It works up quickly, using just a small amount of weight 4 cotton yarn.

Pattern Details:
Written in US terminology
Finished size - 7 ¾” x 7 ¾” (blocked) (pattern includes notes on how to alter the length and width of the dishcloth)
Project level: Easy
Crochet skills involved: chaining, turning, half double crochet, half double crochet in the back loop and front loop only, modified half double crochet (explained in the pattern), single crochet, working a border in the round, slip stitch
Materials:
4.5 mm hook (or hook needed to meet gauge)
50-70 yards / 46-64 meters weight 4 cotton yarn (sample made using 65 yards of Lily Sugar’n Cream.)
My testers reported using between 50-70 yards in weight 4 cotton yarns like Lily Sugar’n Cream, Bernat Handicrafter Cotton, and KnitPicks Dishie Twist)
Scissors, darning needle, tape measure, blocking equipment (optional)
Gauge:
9sts x 6 rows= 2’ x 2” (blocked) (swatching instructions included in pattern)
If you’re like me and love to hold on to cotton scraps, this pattern is color blocking friendly!
