Devol Wrap
The Devol Wrap features an elegant mix of texture and mesh. It’s lightweight enough for the spring and fall, yet cozy enough to layer up and style for winter. As a modern take on a classic piece, you’ll want to make one in just about every color and fiber!
Pattern Details --
This pattern is written in US standard crochet terms.
The finished wrap measures approximately 64” x 16” (blocked). However, the pattern includes instructions on how to alter the length and width of the wrap.
The sample was created using less than four skeins of Lion Brand Feels Like Heaven yarn (approx. 875 yards), however, you can use any weight 3 yarn for this pattern that meets gauge. See note below on yarn and yardage.
This pattern was tech edited and tested prior to publication. Check out the projects listed above, as well as the #devolwrap hashtag on Instagram to see what my testers came up with!
Materials needed --
Hook - 5mm hook (or size needed to meet gauge)
Yarn - Approx. 910 yards / 832 meters weight 3 yarn
Note: My testers reported using anywhere between 630 - 910 yards of DK weight yarn for this project. I recommend having at least 910 yards of DK weight yarn or more if planning to make the wrap bigger than the standard size. Know that if the DK weight yarn you are using is not comparable to the yards per weight of Lion Brand Feels Like Heaven, then you will likely need more or less yarn than what was used for the sample. See the projects page of this pattern to get an idea of what yarn to use.
Other Materials - Yarn scissors, darning needle, tape measure, blocking pins and mats
Skills/knowledge required: chaining, turning, double crochet, skipping stitches, half double crochet, half double crochet back loop only, half double crochet front loop only, double crochet front loop only, double crochet back loop only
