This lace shawl is inspired by dewdrops on the Irises in my garden. The lace stitch is called Flower Garden, and each set of 3 motifs resembles an Iris. A single motif resembles a rosebud and in a different color it could be call Raindrops on Roses.

The 2 triangles that make up the shawl increase nearly every row rather than every other row and create a curved neckline that sits nicely on the shoulders.

The lace is worked on both right and wrong sides. Stitches used are K, P, YO, SKP(or SSK), K2tog, S2KP and 5 stitch Nupps. The beads can be omitted - the nupps can be made larger or replaced with beads.

The sample shawl repeated the body rows 4 times. The body chart can be repeated as many times as desired: 2-3 repeats would make a smaller shawlette, more than 4 repeats would make a larger shawl.

Both written & charted instructions are provided.
