This distinctive modular construction gives an eye-catching play on color. Knit this up in a long color repeating or a hand painted yarn for the greatest visual impact with the least effort, choose your team colors to show your spirit, or red and white for a holiday candy cane accent, or just go to town with all those odd bits left over for a one of a kind creation. Test knitted for maximum ease of use.
Pattern includes pictorial directions for an easy to follow garter stitch graft of live stitches to edge stitches for closure of hat and detailed schematic and instructions for building cowl. Suitable for an advanced beginner.

Materials Needed:
Approximately 200 yds worsted weight yarn each for the cowl or hat.
Size 8 needles, a 24” circular needle will be needed for finishing, the modules can be worked on straight needles if desired.
Tapestry needle, stitch holders or waste yarn to hold live stitches.

Stitches/Techniques Used:
Garter, Stockinette and Reverse Stockinette stitches, picked up stitches, short rows with wrap and turn (explanation given), Garter Stitch Graft (pictorial explanation given).

Finished Measurements:
Cowl is 25” in circumference and 8” tall.
Hat
Small - 19” in circumference and 10” tall.
Large- 22” in circumference and 10” tall
