Diagonal Dreams
This pattern is a recipe for making a top-down, seamless, bias-knit cardigan.
It utilizes some easy measurements, and works you through the steps to devise your own sweater based on your yarn, gauge and size. I have knitted it in worsted or heavy worsted weight yarn, but it is flexible and adaptable to any gauge, based on simple geometry and minimal shaping.
You can try it on as you go, so you can customize it for yourself. This design is part of an ongoing series of recipes which lend themselves to variegated, striped or leftover yarns.
Have fun with it!
Pattern presumes some comfort with simple body and sweater measurements, and willingness to play with yarn!
Update Jan 27, 2023 to PDF:
I have updated the pattern to fix an error on page 7.
Instruction should say: K1,M1, knit to 2nd stitch before green marker, k2tog,SM,K1,K2tog, knit to orange marker,M1,SM,K1, M1, knit to 2 sts before second green marker,K2tog, SM, K1, K2tog, , knit to one stitch before end, M1, K1.
And I have added a diagram to enable you to better visualize the design.
I hope this helps you make this fun and unusual sweater!
