This hat is a celebration of inspiration and the beauty of creativity.

“Inspiration is a reminder. It is a reinforcement. It is a remembrance. It represents that greater truth of your life that is calling you to recognize it, to accept it and to embrace it.” From the book, Wisdom from the Greater Community Book 2, the chapter entitled Inspiration

Materials:
• One 3.25mm (US size 3) circular needle, 40cm (16”) in length, or size needed to meet the required gauge.
• One 2.75mm (US size 2) circular needle, 40cm (16”) in length, or a 40cm circular needle one US size smaller than needle size used to obtain gauge.
• One 3.25mm (US size 3) circular needle, 80cm (32”) or 100cm (40”) in length, for magic loop or one set of 3.25mm (US size 3) DPNs, or size needed to meet the required gauge.
• Stitch markers, optional, one of which is used to mark the beginning of round.
• Tapestry needle for sewing in threads.
• Blocking materials.
• The hat was designed to be knitted using mini skeins, or leftover yarn, and is a wonderful stash buster. The yarn requirements are fingering weight yarn in four colours, approximately 80m (88yrds) of the Main Colour (dark) and approximately 50m (55yrds) of Contrast Colour’s 1 and 2 (gold and green) and approximately 25m (28yrds) of Contrast Colour 3 (Turquoise). Sample shown in Miss La Motte Singles, in colourway Loam (MC), Kliluk Gold (CC1), Spruceforest (CC2) and Plitvice (CC3)
Miss La Motte Singles - single ply, 100% merino wool, each 100g skein is approximately 360m (393yrds) in length.

Size:
One size, approximately 50cm (19.5”) in circumference, measured at the widest part of the hat. The hat measures approximately 23cm (9”) from the crown to cast on edge.

Gauge:
29 stitches and 40 rows, is 10cm (4in) in stranded knitting, knitted in the round, and blocked. Knitting to gauge is important to ensure that your knitted item is the correct size, and to ensure that yardage requirements are similar to those stated in the pattern.
