This pattern is self-sized, based on the size the creator wishes to execute. For that reason, the amount of yarn used will vary greatly. Gauge is immaterial for this pattern, and only entered as a filler.

This is a modification of an earlier shawl using the moss stitch (Granny Dee’s Moss Stitch Shawl), but this is created on the diagonal. I have used a self-striping yarn for the sample photos, but any yarn will work. The hook size is larger than what is usually recommended for the yarn in order to achieve a draping effect.
