Diagonal Rib Mitered Square Blanket

This blanket is composed of mitered squares knit from the corner out until the sides reach the desired length. Because of this, gauge and even yarn or needle size are variable. Use the weight yarn and size needles you desire for your blanket.
The Squares are knit in garter stitch with a raised diagonal rib of stockinette stitch running from one corner to the opposite. These squares can be placed in many different ways, so that the ribs run parallel to each other or form a series of diamonds or Xs. In addition, the bi-color scheme allows for more variation depending on where the color blocks are placed.
I hope you enjoy knitting this blanket!
