I made this pattern because I couldn’t find a rectangular diagonal striped blanket pattern. There are many square diagonal blankets, but to continue going up and elongating it requires some extra steps.
This blanket can be done in a variety of colors and any bulky (6) type yarn. Bernat is very soft and I would recommend it. It could also be done in 3 or 4 colors just alternating between the A and B patterns. I have included a picture and suggestions for a 3 color pattern. It just takes 4 balls of the big ball (10.5 oz.) blanket yarn in whatever colors you choose.
I used a 60” circular needle set to hold all the stitches.
