Diamante II
Bring on the Old School Glamour! This is a relatively quick and easy top-down shawl. It utilizes one skein of Saffron Dyeworks Enya Sock or Madeline Tosh Merino Light. Feel free to substitute other fingering weight yarns.
There is a sister pattern to Diamante I. The difference between the two designs is the upper treatment of the neck and shoulder area. This pattern begins with stockinette and then progresses to lace, whereas Diamante I begins with a good amount of diagonal mesh before the actual patterned lace.
The pattern is charted with some written instructions. You must be able to knit from charts in order to use this pattern. Basic knitting and lace stitches are used : knit, purl, k2tog, p2tog, ssk, sk2p, and only RS rows are charted.
Finished and block dimensions : approximately 62” x 30”
ERRATA
Note to early pattern holders, the final stitch count is 307, not 259 as there are additional yarn overs on the final patterned row. The pattern has been corrected to reflect this change.
