Inspiration
Leather book journals. I wanted something different from a drawstring bag, something more streamlined. Writing and journaling had been favorite activities to do while doing any divination. I also worked at a bookstore which carried many bound journals, some with strips of leather to bind the paper.

So the design for a wrap was created.
I developed the idea of a wrap for cards back before I saw anything like it. It was different and I was unsure if people would like them for their own cards. This wrap is a favorite in the shop and I’m grateful to everyone who has asked for the pattern.

Materials
Yarn: Berroco Weekend
This is my favorite yarn for wraps and bags like this. It’s a cotton blend that takes lots of use and has enough “grip” to stay secure. Keep that in mind if you’d like to use a different yarn.

Needles: US 5
Optional: crochet hook for tie. (I just use my hands.)

Gauge: 18 sts on size 5 needles= 4 in. in stockinette
This wrap is knit on smaller needles than called for- for less give when storing cards.

Finished measurements: 12.5 in L x 5 1/4 in W
