Diamond
Fully written and charted
The Diamond shawl is written for two sizes, however, you can easily expand the design by repeating the 24-row pattern in Section Two as many times as desired. This allows you to make the shawl in a variety of yarn weights, not just the suggested fingering weight. Do keep in mind that changing the yarn/gauge means you’ll need to adjust the needle size and the resulting piece will be a different size.
I blocked my shawl into a triangle shape. The rate and placement of increases would also allow this shawl to be blocked into a scalloped edge crescent with the wingspan edges curving up instead of straight out.
Remember that the listed gauge is given for stockinette stitch before blocking. The end size and gauge of your finished piece will largely be determined by your blocking style and the fiber content of your yarn.
