Diamond aran sweater
This sweater brings a sense of nostalgia with its warm and fluffy volume, characteristic of Aran sweaters. The ample width and snug neckline are key features. With its beautiful raised patterns, it stands out as the main piece, so pair it with simple pants for a delightful look.

□水通しについて / About Blocking
ボリューム感が可愛いセーターなので、個人的には洗わずに楽しむのがおすすめです。そのため普段は中にタートルを合わせ、肌に触れないように上着感覚で着ています。
水通しをすると、アラン模様はしっとりと馴染み柔らかい表情に変わります。（画像最後の1枚、茶色のセーターのみ水通し後の写真です。）
また、Ecological wool の特徴として水通しすると横に膨らみます。セーターを実際に洗ってみると、M サイズのボディ1 周が128cm→133cm になりました。しっとり落ち着くのでボリューム感は減りますが、サイズとしては少し大きくなるので、1つ小さなサイズを選ぶのもおすすめです。

Because this sweater’s volume is charming, I personally recommend enjoying it without washing. Therefore, I usually wear a turtleneck underneath to avoid direct contact with the skin and wear it like an outer layer. Washing the sweater will make the Aran pattern blend softly and appear more supple (see the last image, the brown sweater is shown after washing). Additionally, Ecological Wool expands horizontally when washed. When I actually washed the sweater, the body circumference of size M increased from 128cm to 133cm. While the volume decreases as it becomes softer, the size slightly increases, so opting for one size smaller is also recommended.

靴下など、増やし目・減らし目のある小物を編んだことがある方に編んでいただける難易度です。動画付きなので、セーターが初めての方も安心して挑戦していただけます。

This pattern is suitable for those who have experience knitting small items like socks with increases and decreases. □概要(ざっくりとした手順) / Overview
このセーターは、背中側は鹿の子編み、前側はアラン模様になっています。
まず背中から編み、次に左肩、右肩を拾って模様編みで編み、脇下まで進んだら合わせて輪にしてボディをぐるぐると編み進めます。
次に襟を拾いゴム編みで輪の形で編み、同様に袖も拾い減らし目をしながら手首まで編み、ゴム編みで袖口を編んだら完成です。

※こちらのパターンは手順を文章で説明する文章パターンをベースに、アラン模様の部分は編み図を見ながら編んでいただくスタイルです。

This sweater features double moss stitches on the back and Aran pattern on the front. Start by knitting the back, then pick up stitches for the left shoulder, right shoulder, and continue with pattern knitting until reaching the underarm. Join in the round and knit the body in rounds. Next, pick up stitches for the collar and knit in the round with ribbing. Similarly, pick up stitches for the sleeves, decrease as necessary, knit to the wrists, and finish with ribbed cuffs.

鹿の子編みで横18.5目x縦27段（10cmx10cm）
※このパターンでは、高さは段数で数えず「cm」で数えるため、ゲージの段数（高さ）はあまり重要ではありません。横幅が18.5目になっていればOKです。

18.5 sts × 27 rows= 10 × 10 cm 4 × 4”in double moss stitches on 4.5 mm US7 needles.
In this pattern, you count vertically in cm inch, so as long as the width is correct,you are fine.

CASCADE YARNS Ecological Wool 437m/250g

※別の糸を使う際は200~250m / 100g 前後の太さの糸がおすすめです。糸の量は上記のメートル数を参考にご用意ください。セーターを編み始める前にゲージが合うか必ずご確認ください。
