I love blankets of all sizes, and although there are a lot of crochet baby blankets on Love Life Yarn, there weren’t any knitted blankets!

So, I decided to design a knitted baby blanket and I really love how it turned out! This diamond brocade stitch pattern pairs perfectly with a simple garter stitch border.

Since it’s worked in bulky yarn it also works up quickly (which is great for me, because I am a slow knitter!).

I chose Knit Picks Billow, a bulky (category #5) yarn for this pattern. It is soft and fun and I really love how it is thicker in some areas than others, giving it a wonderful feel.

I chose the Bare color, so no dye in this color, and I really love the deep cream color it is. You can get Billow in different colors, too!

Feel free to use up any bulky yarn in your stash! Since it’s a blanket you don’t even have to swatch if you don’t want to (shh…. I probably shouldn’t say that!!).
