I’ve been crushing on cables lately and this hat has become my ultimate winter accessory. It’s just perfect for walking my golden retriever Daisy on super chilly mornings, and she loves to snuggle with it when we come home.

Knitted in the round with bulky yarn on smaller needles makes it thick, squishy, and super warm. P.S. The diamond cables look way more complicated than they are! You can do it!

The finished hat is cozy and warm with enough stretch to fit comfortably without squishing your hair. It’s sized for an adult or teen.

An understanding of the following is necessary:
Knit, Purl
Knit 2tog
Purl 2tog
Knitting with a cable needle - it’s easy! My beginner testers nailed it! All fancy cable instructions are written out in the pattern (no chart).

Needles: US 9 (5.5mm) and US 10 (6mm) 16” circulars (or longer for magic loop method). DPNs may be used for the decreases if you prefer, stitch markers, and a wool needle.

Yarn: Approximately 85 yards of a #6 bulky yarn.
