Diamond Hands
For when you need to hold the line and need a little extra help, whether you’re keeping up with the current mayhem, just like diamonds, or need a new pair of mitts in general.
The pattern includes charted instructions for mitts including text and excluding text. On the mitts without text, the chevron pattern is continued across the top instead.
This pattern calls for three different colors of fingering weight yarn. While two colors could easily be used, the three colors give it a nice balance and a little extra interest. I recommend a fluffy yarn that will bloom into the colorwork, as it is more forgiving to inconsistent tension.
While there is only one size available, the stitch count is 66 sts/round, and yarn weight/needle size can easily be used to manipulate the final dimensions. If you’re a tight knitter, blocking will also grant a little extra wiggle room!
There are some stretches where the floats get long, I recommend catching these every 3rd or 4th stitch to avoid bunching or snagging. There are only a few of these, so don’t let it scare you.
Thanks for checking out my pattern!
