I wanted to knit a simple hat with a graphic structure, and here it is - the Diamond Hat.

The hat is knitted in double strand of fingering weight merino or DK merino. The brim of the hat can either be folded once or first knitted together and then folded again. The orange prototype has a double folded brim and the white a single folded brim.

The techniques used in this pattern are:

Long tail cast on
Italian cast on
Double knitting set up rounds
Knit
Purl
Knit together a folded edge
Decrease 2 with a center stitch
Final bind on a hat

I who model in the pictures have a head circumference of 57 cm/ 22,5 inches, and the smallest model is preferable with 7 cm/ 2,8 inches negative ease.

The pattern includes measures in the structure both in height and width, so it is very possible to knit this hat by measures.
