Diamond Lace Ankle Sock
Do you want to knit socks, but it’s still too warm where you live? How about a lacy ankle sock!
This is an intermediate pattern, but I’ve included some resources below for adventurous beginners or if you need a refresh on some of the skills used.
You like charts? I have charts. You hate charts? I have written instructions. Download whichever you prefer (or both!) - there is also a printer friendly version available.
This pattern has been tested in all sizes, but not tech edited.
Skills
- Knitting in the round
- Provisional cast-on or picking up cast-on stitches
- Decreasing (K2Tog, SSK, SK2P)
- German short rows (or other short row method of your choice)
- Heel flap and gusset (or substitute whichever heel you prefer)
- Lace (chart or written)
- Kitchener Stitch
Resources
Here is a collection of third party resources that I think may be useful when knitting this pattern. I am not responsible for the content linked below.

How to knit a provisional cast-on with a crochet hook - Nimble Needles
Joining a Folded Brim - Kelbourne Woolens (same technique used for the folded cuff)

Acknowledgements
A big shoutout to my fabulous testers who helped me to refine my pattern and make sure it worked in multiple size.
