This pattern is available for £4.15.

A knitting pattern for a delightful, vintage inspired matinee jacket in three sizes - 16”, 18” and 20”, or newborn to 9 months.

The skirt, button and buttonhole bands are worked in one piece to the armholes in double knitting yarn on 4 mm needles. The intricate lacy rib pattern has an 8 row pattern repeat but is simple to follow. The shoulders and sleeves are in stocking stitch whilst the edgings are in garter stitch.

This is a traditional design that would not look out of place on the set of Call The Midwife! However, the illustrated jacket has been given a modern edge by using a baby glitter yarn and iridescent buttons. A design classic brought right up to date.

The jacket is displayed to its best effect on a knitted baby mannequin. Patterns for similar are also available in the British High Sewciety shop.
