This hat came into being when my daughter requested a “messy bun hat”. The hat band is knitted in a diamond lace pattern, then stitches are picked up to knit the crown. I embellished with antique buttons on the purple tweed and imitation leather buttons on the natural tweed. This pattern is written for a teen to average adult.
