This scarf pattern uses the Imitation Lattice stitch pattern from A Treasury of Knitting Patterns by Barbara Walker. This simple pattern creates a lovely raised welt in a lattice like pattern. I think it is interesting from front or back.

The pattern specifies DK weight but would work up nicely in worsted for a heavier scarf.
