The motif design for this is inspired by glittering ice diamonds.

Legends tell us that the diamond, a crystal of light and “Stone of Invincibility” was created from all the other gems, so that it may refract all the colours of the rainbow. It is said to be a symbol of wealth and abundance, endurance and perseverance.

Many traditional fairisle knitting motifs feature a diamond – a favourite with knitters as it lends itself so well to the stranded colour work technique.

This is a generous-sized light-weight jacket.
