This pattern is worked using basic granny squares that are joined together to create the design. Adjust the number of rows, the yarn weight and/or the hook size of the individual squares to get the size desired. Multiply the length of a test square by 19 to get the estimated weight and by 21 to get the estimated length.

I added a simple blanket stitch border, but you can leave it without a border or use your imagination to choose something else!
