I developed this cowl to be knitted with relatively lightweight warm wool so that it can be used in deep winter as well in mid-season when the mornings are still a bit chilly. The diamond pattern makes the folding at the neck more interesting than a normal ridged cowl.

Instruction are for peg doubling but the pattern can be adjusted for any loom provided gauge is respected. I suggest making a swatch before starting the project.
