EDIT 2023: I’ve finally updated the info of my snake changing the term “leg-single crochet”, for center single crochet. NOTE: I will update the document soon, but for now you’ll find the term L-sc throughout the instructions.

This pattern includes instructions to make the snake using the stitch called Center single crochet (CSC). Includes also a complete photo tutorial to show you how to make the increases, decreases, and color changes and also some useful tips to make it easier for you.
You can use just one color to make the body, or more if you include the pattern for the diamonds.

Pattern and tutorial are written in English using US terminology.

SIZE
Instructions in the pattern are given to make an 18” (45cm) long snake from head to tail, but can be easily made as long as you like or in a different size just by using a different type of yarn and the correspondant hook size.

DIFFICULTY LEVEL. Intermediate.
It is a simple shape but probably you would need to practice the technique to make the CSC stitch first.

MATERIALS

• 50g of DK yarn (8 ply), the color of your choice, plus small amounts of the following: beige yarn for the rattle, red for the tongue and any colors you wish for the diamond pattern.
• A 5mm hook and a 4mm hook
• A pair of 7.5mm safety eyes (or buttons)
• Fiberfill
• A 10mm folley bell to make the rattle sound! (optional)

EDICIÓN 2023. Por fin actualice la descripción de éste patrón para cambiar el termino L-pb, por el de pbC (Punto bajo centrado) que es el más conocido actualmente. NOTA: El documento lo actualizaré pronto.

Este patrón incluye las instrucciones para hacer esta serpiente utilizando el punto llamado Punto bajo centrado (pbC). Incluye también un foto tutorial que muestra como hacer el aumentos, disminuciones y cambios de color, así como algunos prácticos tips para hacerlo mas sencillo.
Puedes utilizar solo un color para hacer el cuerpo, o mas colores si incluyes el diseño de diamantes.

La terminología utilizada puede ser diferente en varios países de habla hispana, pero tanto el patrón como el tutorial contienen imagenes que ayudan a comprender los puntos que se utilizan.

TAMAÑO
Las instrucciones están dadas para realizar una serpiente de 45cm de largo desde la cabeza a la cola, pero puede ser fácilmente modificada al largo que desees o puedes cambiar el tamaño utilizando diferentes grosores de estambre y aguja que le corresponda.

DIFICULTAD. Intermedio.
Es una forma muy sencilla de hacer pero probablemente necesitarás primero aprender la tecnica para hacer el punto.

MATERIALES

• 50g de estambre DK (8 ply), del color de tu elección, mas pequeñas cantidades de: estambre beige para el cascabel, rojo para la lengua y los colores de tu elección para los diamantes.
• Ganchos de 5mm y 4mm.
• Un par de ojos (o botones) de 7.5mm
• Relleno
• Un cascabel de metal de 10mm ¡para hacer que la cola suene! (opcional)
