Diamond socks
by Patons UK
No chart. It can be knitted with 4 ply yarn, using 2 x 50g for the background colour, heel, sole and toe, and 1 x 50g for the second colour.
This is a fairisle pattern in which the fairisle instep and plain stockinet sole are knitted as separate flaps, then the stitches at the toe-end of these flaps are combined to knit the toe, leaving side seams to be sewn up after the toe is finished.
The black and white photograph of this pattern from the original booklet is in this project.
