Growing up in a fairly rural area of the Texas Panhandle, diamondback rattlers were just a way of life. Respect them and their space. Those critters meant business if ya got too close, and that distinct rattle was all the reminder we needed.
While scary to consider their bite, one cannot deny their beauty.
This scarf is my tribute to the amazingly intricate diamond lace pattern that runs their length

• 416 yd (380 m) of aran weight (#4 medium) yarn; Shown: Sirdar “Blur” (70% microfiber, 30% kid mohair; 208 yd (190 m)/1.75 oz (50 g), 2 balls in color #713 egg
• Size H/8-crochet hook or size needed to obtain gauge
• Tapestry needle

Gauge
13 dc and 6 rows = 4” (10 cm)
Gauge is not crucial for this project.
