This Diamonds and Cables pattern has been very popular since I posted one of my first hand knit pillow covers. When a customer asked for this design as a blanket, I modified my pattern and using a double thickness100% wool worsted yarn, hand knit this super warm 60”x72” blanket.

This pattern is really for the experienced knitter who is willing to put in a lot of hours of knitting and invest in a lot of yarn!

Its knit back and forth on a circular needle to accomodate the large number of stitches.

You will need to know how to use a cable needle and be able to knit two different cables over different numbers of rows…. but it will be worth the hard work!
