Materials
5.5mm hook
350g Aran/worsted yarn
Needle for sewing in ends

Size
Finished blanket measures approximately 70 X 80cm or 27 ½ X 31½ inches

Adjusting the size of the blanket
To alter the width of the blanket, add or subtract chains from the foundation
chain; Chain needs to be a multiple of 9 +2

Tension
11st and 11 rows in Exsc = 10cm/4in
Using a 5.5mm hook or size needed to obtain tension. This is a guide for sizing and drape but pattern will work if gauge is different.

Stitches used
Ch chain
Ch-Sp chain space
Sc single crochet
sl st slip stitch

ExSc Extended single crochet (UK Extended double crochet) Insert the hook into indicated stitch, yarn over, and pull up a loop. Yarn over, pull through first loop on hook (2 loops left on hook). Yarn over, pull through both loops on hook.

Bobble Yarn over, insert into indicated stitch, yarn over, pull through, yarn over, pull through 2 (two loops left on hook) Repeat four more times until there are 6 loops on your hook, yarn over, pull through all loops on hook. See the Melu Crochet Bobble Stitch Guide for step by step photos.
