Diamonds and Purls Mitts
Sometimes those purl stitches look too good to leave on the inside of your mitts. This is the perfect pattern for showcasing that skein of hand dyed yarn that’s been waiting in your stash for the perfect project to come along! It has a simple two stitch cable with a very intuitive flow which keeps it simple but interesting.
This pattern is written for TWO weights of yarn, fingering AND worsted weight, so why not knit two pairs?
There are a lot of cables in this pattern, but they are all only 2 stitches. If you haven’t already, this pattern is a good time to try knitting cables without a cable needle. There are different ways of doing this: one easy version can be found at http://grumperina.com/knitblog/cables.htm
Yarn required
Fingering/4ply: 150m/164yd
Worsted/10ply: 88m/96yd
