Diamond and Ribs Hat: This hat knits, matching the scarf, very quickly and I found it to be really fun making. Like the matching scarf it offers great visual effect while being easy to do. The ribs give it a deep texture and good warming properties. This catchy designs mixes strong vertical ribs with double moss diamonds all edged by a double moss border. Like the scarf, the ribs only move around the diamonds.

Ripp-und-Raute-Mütze: Diese Mütze, passend zum Schal, strickt sich sehr schnell und macht auch richtig Spaß. Wie der dazu passende Schal, ergibt wenig Aufwand viel Effekt. Das Rippenmuster gibt eine tiefe Textur, die schön warm hält und zum Kuscheln einlädt. Das Rippenmuster wird von Karos in großem Perlmuster unterbrochen.

Difficulty/ Schwierigkeit: relatively easy/ recht einfach

Techniques/ Techniken:

• knit and purl stitches/ rechte & linke Maschen
• yarn over, knit two stitches together, purl two stitches together/ Umschlag, 2 Maschen rechts/ links (verschränkt) zusammen stricken

Material:
* 65g (130m/ 143yards) Aran yarn (8wpi)
The scarf in these photographs was made with much less than a 100g ball of Stylecraft life Aran, 75% acrylic, 25% wool, shade 2306 Cardinal. The matching scarf and this hat used exactly two 100g balls.

Needles/ Nadelstärke:
4.5mm (US 7) for the hat/ für die Mütze, 3.5mm (US 4) for ribbing/ für das Rippchen.

Accessories/ Zubehör:

• scissors/ Schere
• yarn needle/ Garnnadel
• bobble maker or piece of cardboard to make a bobble with/ Bommelmacher oder etwas Karton zum Bommel Machen
