This pattern is loosely based on some Victorian stitchwork but I amended the leaf pattern. The leaf pattern is an easy repeat once set and the Narrow Point edging looks a lot harder to do than it actually is. The yarn I used is to make mine was a Cotswold Rear Breeds 4 ply but as I no longer stock this yarn, any of my 4 ply sock yarns would be suitable to make this shawl. You need 200 grams. The colourway is called Flimston reflecting the colour of the sea and the local stone and slate as it appears here in Pembrokeshire, Wales, UK during the stormier winter months.

A big thank you to Christine from the Isle of Wight who has kindly re-test knit this garment and found the howlers. An update has now been published.
