This pattern knits up as a lovely textured reversible scarf. On one side the diamonds are depicted in purl stitches and on the other side they are depicted in knit stitches. You can’t lose. Your scarf will look great no matter what side is presented to the viewer. You can also make smaller or larger diamonds depending on how many of the middle rows of the diamond you choose to complete.

The main stitch pattern is framed by a 4 stitch garter border on each side. The diamond stitch pattern will show up best in a solid color yarn.

Skill level: advanced beginner
Skills required: knit, purl, cast on, bind off, able to read your stitches, and follow a multi-row pattern.

I used 1 skein of the Plymouth Encore yarn to complete a scarf that is 43 inches long and 7.25 inches wide.
