Diamonds Pillow
My Diamonds Pillow is composed of sixteen granny squares. I made this pillow last winter when I needed a nice, relaxing project to work on, and wanted to use these colors together. It is a simple project, so it is beginner friendly. The back side is a solid granny square. The written pattern includes step by step pictures for the diamond granny square and a few more pictures to explain the other steps.
I used Rowan Summerlite DK yarn (100% cotton, 142 yd skeins): 1 powder pink, 1 plaster, 1 rouge, 1 duckling, 1 mushroom, and 1 seashell (the cream- only used to join the squares on the front side, so you could use one of the other colors to join them if you would like). However, any dk weight yarn should work for this pattern. You will also need a 14 by 14 in (35 by 35 cm) pillow insert and 5 buttons (1.5 cm in diameter). The buttons allow the pillowcase to be taken on and off of the insert. I hope you enjoy the pattern!
